Event Staff:

 

Hours: On-call/Part-time, nights and weekends A MUST!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Must LOVE talking to people of all ethnic races and posses outgoing personality

  • Load and unload table, tent, chairs, station equipment, promo items at events

  • Promote station to everyone at the festival

  • Conduct giveaways and contests/raffles

  • Take direct orders from Event Coordinator and Marketing Director

Qualifications:

  • Must LOVE talking to people of all ethnic races and posses outgoing personality

  • Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs. or more and stand for long periods of time

  • Must be able to work late nights and weekends

  • Must be available to work ALL station events

  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Previous event experience desirable
  • Bilingual and/or knowledge of ethnic markets a major plus
  • Must provide work permit from school

Compensation:

Minimum wage $7.5/hr, no health benefits

 

Master Control Operator:

 

Hours: Part-time (full-time potential if desired), nights and weekends A MUST!

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitoring  on-air play back of programming on the station

  • Logging and traffic

  • Assist with marketing and promotional efforts (when necessary)

  • Assist with filming and light video production (when necessary)


Qualifications:

 

  • Must be able to work late nights (3pm-12am) and weekends

  • Extreme attention to detail a MUST

  • Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Excel, Word and the Internet

  • Must live in the Sacramento area and have reliable transportation

  • MUST be dependable and punctual

  • Previous broadcast and/or office experience desirable but not necessary

  • Bilingual and/or knowledge of ethnic markets a major plus

  • High school graduate, college a plus

Training on equipment and various media software will be provided.  

Compensation:

$12/hour, health benefits available (30+ hours a week only)

 

Account Executive:

 

Hours: Full-time, occasional nights and weekends

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generating revenue by signing up new accounts

  • Collections of payments

  • Writing proposals, contracts/order and change orders

  • Working with traffic and billing

  • Conducting presentations to prospective clients

  • Maintain an account list and regularly update the ACT system

  • Contribution to the marketing and sales strategies of KBTV Global Television and carrying out various marketing and business development requirements and activities

  • Work within a team environment to motivate and contribute to a sense of urgency and professionalism

  • Script writing if needed for client and arranging productions

  • Translations and voice over work

  • Participate in weekly sales meeting and weekly brainstorming meeting. Provides lists and call sheets on all current and potential clients

  • Works hand in hand with the accounting department to implement collection and credit policies

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years sales experience

  • College degree or equivalent experience

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (ACT system a plus)

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Willing to travel and must have dependable transportation

  • Bilingual and/or knowledge of ethnic markets a major plus

  • Must be available during nights and weekends

Translators:

 

Hours: On-call, part-time

Languages needed: Hmong, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Russian, Ukrainian, Hindi, and Punjabi

 

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately translating and dubbing commercials and programs from English to language required

Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in both English and native language

  • Confident in providing voice-overs and public speaking

  • Must be able to work late nights and weekends

  • Extreme attention to detail A MUST!

  • Must live in Sacramento and have reliable transportation

  • Must be dependable and punctual

  • Previous translation and interpretation experience desirable

Compensation:

Payment is on a per-project basis, which ranges from $20-$50 per 30 second commercial
